Collaborative Tools: Google Docs
Examples of collaborative tools:
- Google Docs (documents, presentations, spreadsheets)
- Sumo Paint (Paint type, but with layers)
- Mind Meister (mental maps)
- Project Draw (vector graphics)
I will introduce the Google Docs.
- Google Docs is a free program for creating Web-based documents on-line with the possibility of working in groups.
- Features:
- You can create text documents, spreadsheets, presentations and databases from the same application or imported using its web interface or sent using e-mail, and upload any file type. The files are stored on Google servers.
- Another important feature is the possibility of collaborative working groups, besides being able to share with multiple users simultaneously.
- The privacy of sensitive documents can be compromised by the fact that many people are certified in their accounts almost permanently on Google (Google accounts are used for a variety of services offered by Google such as email, calendar, etc..). Although this has clear advantages unified login, represents a safety hazard potential while accessing Google Docs because it requires no password check .
