New domains in Internet
- Companies, cities or organizations may register their own domain names, following the decision Monday by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
- The initiative is considered a major milestone in the four decades of history of the Internet, was announced by ICANN in a statement issued after the meeting that its board of directors held in Singapore.
